about
Compared to other retreats and summer camps, this one stands out for its intimate setting, hosting a maximum of four participants. What makes it truly unique is its dual emphasis on learning—developing skills, methods, and experiences--and unlearning—shedding limiting beliefs, self-depreciating thoughts, and harmful automatisms.
This summer retreat is tailor-made for artists, facilitators, therapists, healers, creative practitioners, teachers, and community activists seeking to enhance their skills and develop their own unique method at the intersection of art, healing, and community. Through a blend of theory, method, and practice, participants will acquire tools, skills, and experiences for designing retreats/workshops, fostering safe spaces, facilitating group processes, and supporting individual growth.
Drawing from over two decades of experience in alternative pedagogy, non-formal education, community models, collaboration practices, women's empowerment, self-exploration, and artivism, I will share methods, knowledge, techniques, and tools that have inspired my practice. Participants will be introduced to the three main components of the "School of Disobedience" method:
