Fight clubs are political soft-spaces of reappropriation. Through self-defense, wrestling, and playful fighting, we not only reclaim but also retake our voices, bodies, and emotions that belong to us but from which we have been dispossessed.

"My Fight Clubs are tender yet radical spaces of care and empowerment. Through the playful practice of fighting and wrestling, we reclaim our bodies, free our voices, and step into our power. We challenge our own strength, not to dominate but to discover—building self-confidence, resistance, and trust in our instincts.
Against the oppressive, objectifying gaze that seeks to intimidate, we train ourselves not to look away. Eye-gazing exercises become our quiet rebellion, our practice of presence. We strengthen our gaze like a muscle, learning to meet the world head-on—again, again, and again. Each time, with a little more confidence. Each time, with a little less fear."

At the start of each session, we dive into gaze-fighting—a practice of presence, of strength. We train our eyes to meet the world without shrinking, to hold steady, to refuse the instinct to look away. Then, through wrestling and playful fighting exercises in pairs, we engage in a physical dialogue of resistance and release, discovering our strength, testing our limits, and building step by step confidence. We close each session with a soft repertoire class, creative battles, or a techno-release, where movement becomes celebration, grounding us in joy.
This is not about competition. We are not each other’s enemy—quite the opposite. We use our strength to help each other discover our own. This is movement rooted in the body’s natural impulses--pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching—adaptable to every body, every strength, every level of experience. No background in dance, sport, or combat is needed.
That said, this work can be physically intense. If you are currently healing from an injury or illness, I encourage you to join when you can fully immerse yourself in the experience--when you are ready to listen to your body, embrace your strength, and step into the fight with presence and power.
