Students of the art school of tomorrow are neither pigeonholed nor judged, but can express themselves openly and easily. They are taught independence and autonomy without being abandoned, guided and supported in their projects and dreams. They are empowered to defy norms, challenge conventions, genre tropes, and express critical perspectives on structural and ideological paradigms.
In the art school of tomorrow, we value and teach other forms of knowledge beyond the theoretical: perception, empathy, emotion, intuition, personal stories, and life experiences.
In the art school of tomorrow, teachers don't dictate what students should think or believe. Instead, they open doors to a variety of possibilities, knowledge, tools, and perspectives. They avoid exploiting students' youth and sensitivity to impose personal beliefs, focusing instead on teaching critical thinking, doubt, and skepticism. This fosters open-mindedness, curiosity, and empathy.
This art school will be humane, warm, and generous.
This art school will educate students, teaching them to trust themselves, believe in themselves, and be themselves.
This art school will make students authentic, sincere, and courageous.
That’s how they will face the world.

world building
We view world-building as an artistic practice, with artists as visionaries who are capable of inventing alternative realities and driving change.
In the School of Disobedience, you'll be empowered to produce and share knowledge, practices, and tools, envisioning a framework for a new artistic world. Here, our focus shifts from competition to collaboration, mutual support, and care.

A new art world where you don't have to obey the gaze and judgements of others, deal with the pressures of the profession and respond to the expectations of gatekeepers and standard-bearers. Putting the body, emotions and theory on the same level, this new world is constructed beyond dualisms, where you constantly seek ambiguity, nuance and different shades of grey, celebrate in-betweens, wiggle room, doubt and uncertainty, welcome diversity, applaud critical and divergent thinking, celebrate disagreement, dissent, resistance and non-conformity. You will unlearn dominant aesthetics, academic canons, standards of beauty, manners and patterns in contemporary performance art and relearn how to dare to behave differently, to create unconventionally, to think outside the box.
You will be given the opportunity to collectively build a structured creative space to connect, collaborate, unlearn and create with fellow students.
A space where you can reflect on yourself as an individual and as a member of a community.
Where you can find ways to support yourself and others.
Where you can develop, progress and grow.
Gain confidence and strength through friendship, trust and togetherness.

They are empowered to reflect on local cultural and socio-political contexts, challenge normative behaviors, and engage critically with dominant ideologies. The curriculum aims to develop their capacity for resistance, protest, and creative transformation, empowering them to dream and initiate positive change.
