about

CREATIVE WRITING
During September and/or October,
you will focus on expressive writing and literary creation in many different forms. You will receive every week a thematic package, containing:
  • inspirations: texts, audio-visual materials from diverse artists, authors, creators;
  • instructions to realize an immersive writing experience on your own;
  • an expressive writing and/or a structured creative writing exercise;
  • a link to an open platform where you can share your work and exchange with fellow participants;
  • a monthly online group meeting where we share our texts and feedback on the process and our experiences.
You can decide to write in your mother tongue or in English. Through different topics, you will have the opportunity to explore different types of poetry and prose styles, as well as responding to literature, quotes, films, and music. Strategies to develop your own style, personal aesthetic, to avoid "writer’s block" and the "fear of the white page" will be addressed as well.

PERFORMING & CHOREOGRAPHING TEXTS AND WORDS
In November and/or December you will perform and choreograph your texts in the space. You will work both in dance studio and public spaces in Budapest and/or Paris. You will share your texts, research, compose, and create text-based performances as soloists, with partners, or in group. You will investigate the use of dialogue, texts, words to influence and enhance performance, whether it is dance or physical theatre, and also explore the connection between language and body, text and movement. You will discover choreographers and visual artists using narrative texts, speech, prose, drama, poetry, or introducing abstract words, voice into their works. So as to stimulate different parts of the brain and the body, you will move back and forth between choreographing, performing, writing, and reading.

PUBLIC READINGS & PERFORMANCES
We will make public readings, collectively choreographed lecture performances in public spaces in Budapest and/or Paris.

PUBLISHING
Following the program, if you give us permission, your texts will be published online.
