July 5–9: Performance + Movement
Work through the body. Develop through performance.
A 100% practice-based retreat combining somatic practice, movement, improvisation, performance and composition.
The group sessions open different ways of working through sensation, attention, emotion, movement and autobiographical material.
Individual sessions give you time to stay with what emerges and develop it further through your own practice: movement research, rehearsal, composition, documentation, writing, selection or experimentation.

July 12–16: Writing + Voicing
Write. Voice. Select. Edit. Return.
A writing retreat combining collective writing sessions with sustained individual work.
Group sessions take place across Budapest’s parks, forests, riversides and studio spaces. We work through movement, place, perception, attention and embodied experience to generate writing.
The individual sessions are where the writing continues.
You may write further, reread what you have produced, edit, select, reorganize, cut, expand, sequence or begin to understand what kind of text is emerging.
Writing is not only producing more material. It is also learning what to keep, what to remove, what to return to, and when to stop.

July 19–23: Condition Building
Build around your practice.
Artists learn extensively how to make work, but rarely how to create the conditions that allow the work to continue.
This retreat asks:
What does your practice need in order to exist, circulate and sustain itself?
Group sessions introduce concrete tools and questions around:
You may clarify an offer, rethink a format, work on pricing, identify possible partners or audiences, rewrite how you communicate your work, design a new source of income, map distribution or prepare something concrete to test.
This is not marketing. We do not begin with what the market, institution or audience wants.
We begin with the practice and build outward.
Each participant leaves with at least one concrete condition ready to test or activate.
