about
In this multidisciplinary dance performance masterclass, we embark on an immersive exploration of the body – both individually and collectively – from a myriad of perspectives. Participants will journey through diverse approaches, experiences, and knowledge, delving into the material, immaterial, social, political, and poetical dimensions of the body. From the constrained and colonized body to the abstract and collective, we'll navigate the body's terrain as a living geography, an archival vessel of history, and an expressive landscape. Throughout the program, we'll examine the nuances of the exhausted body, the body in labor, and the body at rest, relearning the art of listening to our bodies' silent narratives. The first week will ignite inspiration through a repertoire class, setting the stage for deeper exploration. In the second week, participants will engage in individual and group practices, synthesizing their insights into collaborative projects. The third week focuses on sharing experiences and creations, fostering dialogue and connection within the group. Finally, the last week provides a well-deserved period of rest, allowing for reflection and integration of the transformative journey undertaken.
