SCHOOL OF DISOBEDIENCE
This online program is for artists who are tired.
Tired of endless applications.
Tired of waiting for institutions to validate their work.
Tired of writing open calls that drain their energy.
Tired of feeling uncomfortable every time they have to “promote themselves.”
Tired of business language that feels disconnected from their values, aesthetics, or reality.
Many artists know how to create, but nobody ever taught them how to sustain a practice without either depending entirely on institutions or becoming a product online.
This course was created precisely for that gap. To help artists develop orientation, structure, language, and concrete tools to allow their work to circulate while staying connected to themselves.
The program is open to:
artists, performers, facilitators, creative practitioners, and independent cultural workers.
Whether you create performances, drawings, installations, workshops, objects, rituals, or temporary spaces, the same questions eventually appear:
How do people find the work?
How do you communicate it?
How do you price it?
How do you sustain it?
How do you remain visible without becoming exhausted?
How do you create continuity without betraying your practice?
Across 8 online lessons, we explore the Ps through the reality of artistic life.
Lesson 1: P — PRODUCT
How do you define what you do without sounding commercial, generic, or fake?
How do you speak about your work clearly without flattening it?
How do you communicate atmosphere, process, experience, or materiality?
Lesson 2: P — POSITIONING
Where does your practice actually stand?
What kind of work are you making?
Who is it for?
How do you stop trying to fit everywhere at once?
Lesson 3: P — PRICING
How do you approach money without shame or discomfort?
How do you price artworks, workshops, performances, objects, or commissions?
How do you stop underpricing yourself into exhaustion?
Lesson 4: P — PLACE
Where should your work exist?
Online? Offline? In galleries? In forests? In cafés? In public space? In festivals? In people’s homes?
How does context shape reception, atmosphere, and audience?
Lesson 5: P — PEOPLE
Who are your people actually?
How do audiences form?
How do people discover artistic work today?
How do practices grow slowly and organically?
And what happens when almost nobody shows up at the beginning?
Lesson 6: P — PARTICULARITY
What makes your work recognizable?
Not branded.
Recognizable.
What do people actually remember about your work?
What creates memory, atmosphere, and transmission?
Lesson 7: P — PROMOTION
How do you promote your work without becoming a content machine?
How do you write about your work?
How do you create visibility without reproducing influencer culture?
Lesson 8: P — PRACTICE
How do you build continuity?
How do you stop surviving only from one application to another?
How do you create structures that allow your work to continue existing long-term?
